food processing. The method comprises the following steps: sweet potato selecting and washing, beating, precipitating, sweet 
potato starch and water mixture preparing, 
steaming to obtain vermicelli and vermicelli air-
drying; wherein the steps of the beating, precipitating, etc. all use a 
tea leaf extract for treatment; when the sweet 
potato starch and water mixture is prepared, the 
tea leaf extract, a 
pumpkin seed extract, a perilla seed extract and a grape seedextract are added; and besides, before the air-
drying, a 
mint extract is firstly sprayed on the vermicelli. By optimizing the manufacture method, the manufacture technology suppresses formation of dark brown materials in the sweet potato vermicelli, so that the prepared sweet potato vermicelli is not black, translucent, bright and pure in color and luster, and improved in quality; at the same time, in the natural air-
drying process, the sweet potato vermicelli is prevented from being rancid and deteriorated in cloudy and 
rainy weather; and in addition, the sweet potato vermicelli also has health-care effects of losing weight, lowering blood fat, lowering 
blood pressure and lowering 
blood sugar, and is especially suitable for the consumption of the elderly.
