Application of soybean GmSAUR gene in regulation and control of plant isoflavone content

The invention relates to application of a soybean GmSAUR gene in regulating and controlling the content of isoflavone in plants, and belongs to the technical field of gene engineering. In order to improve the content of plant isoflavone and solve the technical problems existing in the prior art for improving the content of plant isoflavone, expression of GmSAUR protein in soybean seeds is proved by cultivating soybean plants with overexpressed GmSAUR genes, and the content of isoflavone in the soybean seeds with overexpressed GmSAUR genes is measured by using a high performance liquid chromatography method. It is found that overexpression of the GmSAUR gene can significantly increase the content of genistin and daidzin. In addition, it is proved through fluorescent quantitative PCR that the GmSAUR gene promotes expression of downstream isoflavone synthesis related genes. The discovery not only helps to reveal the molecular mechanism of soybean isoflavone synthesis, but also provides a potential molecular target for improving the soybean quality and increasing the nutritional value of the soybean.
