The invention discloses a multifunctional fireproof communication cable and an armor layer installation process thereof. The cable comprises an insulating sheath, an armor layer located in the insulating sheath, a
silicone rubber sleeve located in the armor layer, power cables, control wire cores, and a mineral insulating layer located in the
silicone rubber sleeve and used for filling gaps, wherein the armor layer comprises a plurality of equally spaced steel rings which sleeve the
silicon rubber sleeve in the axial direction of the
silicon rubber sleeve, and a protective layer formed by a
steel belt wrapped outside a steel sleeve; the space between every two adjacent steel rings is filled with a
silicone rubber insulating layer; and the inner wall of the protective layer abuts against the outer walls of the steel rings. According to the scheme, the armor layer is provided with the steel rings and the
steel belt in a wrapping mode; because of the existence of the
steel belt, the anti-pressure capability is effectively improved; as the steel bet is wrapped and the steel rings are high in
pressure resistance, the steel belt is not liable to stretch, and the overall tensile resistance of the cable is high, while steel belts of traditional cables which only comprise
silicone rubber sleeves are liable to stretch and deform and low in tensile resistance due to
radial deformation ofsilicone rubber sleeves.
