isatis root,40 to 45 percent of folium isatidis, 8 to 13 percent of 
schizonepeta and 15 to 20 percent of the root of fangfeng in an autumn formula; 25 to 35 percent of 
isatis root, 40 to 45 percent of folium isatidis, 4 to 8 percent of 
cassia twig, 8 to 13 percent of rhizoma zingiberis and 8 to 13 percent of 
ligusticum wallichii in a winter formula; 25 to 35 percent of isatis root, 40 to 45 percent of folium isatidis, 6 to 8 percent of 
astragalus mongholicus, 4 to 7 percent of poria cocos, 8 to 12 percent of liquorice and 4 to 7 percent of the 
rhizome of oriental water plantain in a spring formula. The effect of preventing and treating cold of the 
traditional Chinese medicine is improved; the 
dissolution rate of active ingredients can be improved; damage of the high temperature to the active ingredients is reduced; volatilization and sublimation of the active ingredients, which are caused by the high temperature, are reduced; PEG (
polyethylene glycol) and 
enteric coating preparations enable the release rate of the product to be controllable; effective 
blood concentration is prolonged; the traditional Chinese 
medicine has no toxic or side effects and is safe to use; the 
recovery rate of the traditional Chinese 
medicine for the poultry cold diseases reaches about 95 percent.
