More importantly, the surface of the wax coating is not tacky and can become properly tackier along with elapse of time; the surface of the wax coating is in a plastic or rubber state, but the inside of the wax is still in a semi-solid state; and the original signal line can be replaced with a new one by simply removing the wax around the signal line and then refilling the seal wax.
