water retention. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing sphagna fibers by adopting sphagna as a 
raw material, enabling the sphagna fibers to react with 
chloroacetic acid under the existence of alkali, thus etherified sphagna fibers are prepared, carrying out mixing for gum dissolving on the etherified sphagna fibers, 
potato starch plant gum, water and 
sorbitol, and placing the obtained product in an empty 
capsule making 
machine, so that the capsules with high 
water retention are prepared. Sphagna is a pure 
natural product, the use of sphagna can improve the 
water retention of the capsules prepared by adopting the method, so that the 
shelf life is prolonged, 
chloroacetic acid and the sphagna fibers react under the existence of alkali, then the etherified sphagna fibers are prepared, further, the etherified sphagna fibers form an 
adhesive solution after being dissolved in water, in addition, 
potato starch plant gum has the 
water retention function, 
sorbitol also has the water retentionfunction, meanwhile, 
sorbitol is less volatile polyhydric 
alcohol, and is a good stabilizer, thus the prepared capsules have the excellent water retention and good stability, and have a wide application prospect.
