Disclosed are high-aluminium bauxite cast-moulding sand and a preparation method thereof. The high-aluminium bauxite cast-moulding sand is characterized by being made of raw materials including, by weight, 80-90 parts of high-aluminium bauxite, 10-16 parts of dilute phosphoric acid solution, 2-3 parts of seignette salt, 3-4 parts of zinc chloride, 1-2 parts of nanometer titania, 45-50 parts of aluminium silicate, 30-40 parts of corn stalk powder, 2-3 parts of leaves powder, 1-2 parts of aluminite powder, 55-60 parts of bentonite, 4-5 parts of sodium metasilicate and a moderate amount of water. Since the high-aluminium bauxite added with the dilute phosphoric acid solution is subjected to calcination, cohesiveness and breathability of the high-aluminium bauxite are improved; by means of adding the corn stalk powder into the high-aluminium bauxite, breathability of the cast-moulding sand is improved, cost is lowered and environmental protection and energy saving are achieved; being added with the nanometer titania and the aluminite powder, the cast-moulding sand is enabled to be good in thermal conductivity. The high-aluminium bauxite cast-moulding sand is smooth, easy to mould, prone to collapsing at high temperature, fast in cooling, timesaving and environmentally friendly, a foundry piece is less prone to bonding with sand, sand buckling is remarkably reduced, brightness of the foundry piece is greatly improved, and economic benefit is increased.
