The invention discloses a preparation method of inorganic fire retardant paper. The method comprises the following steps that 1, a silicate glass precursor spinning colloidal sol is synthetized through the sol-gel technology; 2, the silicate glass precursor spinning colloidal sol synthetized in the first step serves as a spinning solution, and a silicate glass nano-fiber non-woven film is prepared through the electrospinning technology; 3, the silicate glass nano-fiber non-woven film obtained in the second step is soaked in an inorganic filler solution, taken out, drained off and dried in air at the room temperature, and then the silicate glass nano-fiber non-woven film is rolled and compacted through a roller mill and transferred into a drying oven to be baked to obtain the inorganic fire retardant paper. According to the preparation method, raw materials are common and cheap, the manufacturing process is simple, efficient, safe, environmentally friendly and capable of saving energy and easily achieving large-scale production, and the obtained inorganic fire retardant paper has the better mechanical performance and the better chemical stability compared with common paper materials.
