The invention relates to a method for preparing a photocatalytic material, in particular to a method for directly preparing a photocatalytic composite material by utilization of high-titanium blast furnace slag. The method comprises the following steps: the ingredients in weight percentage of the photocatalytic composite material include 10 to 22 percent of quartz, 5 to 28 percent of borax, 0 to 15 percent of boronic acid and 45 to 72 percent of high-titanium blast furnace slag; the photocatalytic composite material comprises the following chemical components in percentage by weight: 31.10 to 45.26 percent of SiO2, 12.4 to 17.53 percent of Al2O3, 0.38 to 0.55 percent of Fe2O3, 4.59 to 7.65 percent of TiO2, 12.20 to 17.8 percent of CaO, 6.12 to 8.56 percent of MgO, 0.28 to 0.45 percent of K2O, 2.32 to 6.83 percent of Na2O and 4.52 to 23.11 percent of B2O3; and the raw materials are fused at a temperature of 1300 DEG C for 2 hours, undergo heat treatment at a temperature of between 750 and 850 DEG C for 18 hours, dissolution treatment at a temperature of between 85 and 90 DEG C for 48 hours, and water scrubbing until the pH value is 7. The method uses waste to treat waste, and has low cost; the TiO2 can be directly generated on a SiO2 porous vector, so that the photocatalytic composite material is firm to load and easy to recover, and has high reaction activity and long service life; and the method can be widely applied to the aspects of environmental improvement, water treatment, pollution-free chemical reaction, antibacterial purification.
