According to the method, the same set of pilot frequency is multiplexed by central users of different cells so that the same pilot frequency is multiplexed by them and the utilization rate of the pilot frequency is increased; the edge users of the adjacent cells employ different pilot frequencies so that interferences are reduced; and in this way, the influence of pilot pollution is reduced, and the utilization rate of the pilot frequency is increased.

In addition, periodic random allocation is conducted on user ascending pilot frequency sequences according to the interference randomization principle, and adjacent region interference caused by cross-correlation difference among the pilot frequency sequences is reduced. The small-scale fading channel estimation method can effectively increase accuracy of small-scale fading channel estimation of the large-scale MIMO system.
