The ionic liquid comprises a cationic moiety selected from pyridinium, pyridazinium, pyrimidinium, pyrazinium, oxazinium, thiazinium, imidazoline, pyrazolium, thiazoline, isothiazinium, oxazolium, isoxazolium, or triazolium, and an anionic moiety selected from halide anions. The acid catalyst comprises trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. The general structural formula of the hexose diacid compound is R1OOC(CHOH)4COOR2, and the structure of the 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid compound is shown in formula (I).
