The invention discloses an arch type flexible ecological
revetment structure for a small and medium-sized valley or river channel and a construction method for the arch type flexible ecological
revetment structure. The arch type flexible ecological
revetment structure is characterized in that
gabion retaining walls are built on valley or river
channel bank slopes along the longitudinal direction; the bottoms of the
gabion retaining walls are supported by an inverted stone arch built in the valley or river channel; the upper ends of the
gabion retaining walls are tied at anchoring points of the
bank slopes above the gabion retaining walls by tightening
corrosion-resisting
metal ropes. The construction method for the arch type flexible ecological revetment structure comprises the following steps of laying a
metal mesh and loading stones on a substrate of each valley or river
channel bank slope; vibrating, compacting and packaging the stones to form gabion units; sewing and tying adjacent gabions by using the
corrosion-resisting
metal ropes and building to the design elevation according to the mode; tightening and tying the gabions to the anchoring points of the
bank slopes above the gabions by the
corrosion-resisting metal ropes; meanwhile, building the inverted stone arch for supporting the bottoms of the gabion retaining walls in the valley or river channel. The arch type flexible ecological revetment structure and the construction method thereof disclosed by the invention have the advantages of reasonable
mechanical design, simple construction process, easiness in construction and low construction cost; frequent landslides of the valley or river channel are prevented, disasters caused by the landslides are reduced, and ecological revetment is realized.
