This invention discloses a bio-based
environmentally friendly crosslinking agent and its preparation method, as well as epoxidized natural vulcanizates and their preparation methods and applications, relating to the field of
polymer materials technology. This invention successfully synthesizes anhydrides with
terpene compounds as the matrix as crosslinking agents. These anhydrides, as bio-based compounds, are not only green,
environmentally friendly, and non-toxic, but also, when combined with crosslinking accelerators, can achieve highly efficient crosslinking of ENRs. The amount used is significantly reduced compared to crosslinking methods using diacids, and the crosslinking accelerators used are
tertiary amine salts and other salt compounds, which have advantages such as low
odor, low volatility, and easy dispersion, and will not cause harm to researchers and the environment like DMI catalysts. Simultaneously, it can also give ENRs excellent mechanical and damping properties. This invention provides a non-toxic, harmless, and
environmentally friendly crosslinking agent that can efficiently crosslink rubber and introduce dynamic covalent bonds into the crosslinking network to achieve a green crosslinking method for reprocessable rubber.
