The invention provides a preparation method of ultralow-
sulfur low-
manganese steel for a
titanium-containing
electrode. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding a first slagging material into a converter for dephosphorization and demanganization, pouring out part of converter
slag, adding a second slagging material into the converter for decarbonization, tapping steel from the converter and completely remaining
slag; active
lime and
cryolite are added when the LF enters the
station,
manganese in the
molten steel is removed, after the
molten steel is heated to the target
station outlet temperature, a steel
ladle slag modifier is added to the steel
ladle slag surface, and then soft
argon blowing is conducted; carbon
powder is added for RH vacuum deoxidation,
sponge titanium is added for RH alloying, and desulfurization modifier composite balls are added for RH deep desulfurization and inclusion modification; the
ladle long
nozzle is cast under the protection of a sealing ring and
argon blowing in the whole process; and the covering agent is supplemented in the
continuous casting process according to the covering condition of the
tundish. According to the method disclosed by the invention, by utilizing thermodynamic and dynamic conditions of each process and combining a steel ladle slag modifier and desulfurization modifier composite ball, step-by-step demanganization, desulfurization and steel ladle slag modification are realized, and the ultralow-
sulfur low-
manganese steel for the
titanium-containing
electrode is prepared.
