The invention discloses a paperboard waterproof agent which comprises the following components in parts by weight: 20-30 parts of polyurethane resin, 10-15 parts of rosin resin, 5-8 parts of acrylic acid, 3-5 parts of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 8-10 parts of n-butyl ether, 3-5 parts of paraffin, 2-4 parts of silicone oil, 5-8 parts of silicon dioxide, 1-2 parts of lignocellulose, 2-3 parts of ammonium persulfate, 0.2-0.5 part of lauryl sodium sulfate and 30-40 parts of water. The paperboard waterproof agent provided by the invention has a good waterproof effect, so that the surface of a carton is not easy to have a mildew spot phenomenon.
