The invention discloses a preparation technique for a coating agent on the surface layer of wicker and relates to the technical field of weaving of wicker woven baskets. The preparation technique comprises the following steps that first, propolis, lemongrass oil, cinnamon oil, ethyl alcohol, diesel oil and potassium persulfate are mixed and stirred jointly, and thus a component A is obtained; second, coal tar, ethenyl ethanoate, calixarene, copper cyanide and deionized water are mixed and stirred, and thus a component B is obtained; third, the component A and the component B are mixed jointly,a protective addition agent is added into a mixture of the component A and the component B to be stirred in a reaction kettle, and thus a component C is obtained; fourth, then, sodium alginate, polyvinyl acetate ammonium, inorganic salt copper sulfate, toilet water, sodium fluoride and starch glue are added into the component C to be mixed and stirred, and a mixed material is fed into a steam boxand then cooled; fifth, finally, montmorillonite is put into microwave equipment to be subjected to medium-frequency microwave treatment, mixed with the material obtained in the fourth step and thencooled; and a cooled reagent is ground and filtered, and thus the coating agent is obtained. The method is simple and easy to use, raw materials can cooperate with one another, the bonding force of the coating agent and the wicker is high, a uniform and compact coating film can be formed on the surface of the wicker, and the sterilizing and insect bite preventing effects are achieved.
