The invention relates to composite fine
barium sulfate and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps of carrying out barite crushing, screening and mineral-separation purification to obtain
barium sulfate particles having content and whiteness of about 95%, carrying out ultrafine
comminution and fine grading to obtain
barium sulfate particles having the sizes of 3-20 micrometers, fully mixing the
barium sulfate particles and kaolin according to a weight ratio of 6: 1-12: 1, and adding a small amount of a surface modifier and a
coupling agent into the mixture to obtain the composite fine
barium sulfate, wherein the surface modifier is
silane and the
coupling agent is
titanate. The manufacturing method comprises barite crushing and screening, mineral-separation purification, ultrafine
comminution and fine grading, blending, and
surface modification treatment. The composite fine
barium sulfate has the characteristics of
radiation resistance, weatherability,
corrosion resistance and good stability, and can be used for paint,
printing ink pigment, plastic, rubber,
papermaking ceramic, weaving chemical fibers, glass and sealing materials.
