The invention provides a method for preparing a calcium silicate thermal insulation material by decomposition of sodium calcium silicate, wherein the method comprises the following steps: (1) mixing sodium calcium silicate and a diluted alkali liquid in proportion, carrying out a reaction for 2-20 h at the temperature of 90-260 DEG C, and filtering to obtain a wet calcium silicate slag; (2) carrying out compression molding of the wet calcium silicate slag obtained in the step (1) in a mold; and (3) drying the sample molded in the step (2), to obtain the calcium silicate thermal insulation product. The method is adopted to prepare the calcium silicate thermal insulation material, and has the advantages of simple steps and low energy consumption; the raw materials can be a mixture taking sodium calcium silicate as a main component and obtained by chemical conversion of fly ash, coal gangue, kaolin, quartz sand and other high-silicon minerals, also can be a pure sodium calcium silicate obtained by chemical conversion of pure silica, raw material sources are extensive, not only is the problem of environmental pollution solved, but also the mineral high value utilization is realized; and the prepared calcium silicate finished product has the advantages of low volume weight and excellent thermal insulation property.

The method comprises the following steps: carrying out ultrasonic cavitation treatment on one or more heavy fraction sections of aromatic hydrocarbon-rich heavy oil, catalytic slurry oil, coal tar or ethylene tar, which are greater than 300 DEG C, as raw materials, regulating and controlling the composition and distribution of four components of the raw materials, and enabling the sum of the aromatic carbon rate (CA) and the naphthenic carbon rate (CN) to be 55-80%, and the absolute change rate of the naphthenic ring number and the aromatic ring number of the raw oil to be less than 3.5%; (2) carrying out hot filtration combined ion exchange treatment to remove solid impurities in the raw oil and realize group composition distribution regulation and control, and further regulating and controlling molecular weight distribution to be within 300-650; (3) solvent extraction: further optimizing the group composition distribution of the raw oil through solvent extraction, wherein the aromatic carbon rate CA is controlled between 60% and 85%; and (4) carrying out catalytic polycondensation reaction to obtain the mesophase pitch with the softening point of 270-300 DEG C, the mesophase content of more than 97% and good spinning performance.
