A method for providing improved gettering in a vacuum encapsulated microdevice is described. The method includes designing a getter alloy to more closely approximate the coefficient of thermal expansion of a substrate upon which the getter alloy is deposited. Such a getter alloy may have a weight percentage of less than about 8% iron (Fe) and greater than about 50% zirconium, with the balance being vanadium and titanium, which may better match the coefficient of thermal expansion of a silicon substrate. In one exemplary embodiment, the improved getter alloy is deposited on a silicon substrate prepared with a plurality of indentation features, which increase the surface area of the substrate exposed to the vacuum. Such a getter alloy is less likely to delaminate from the indented surface of the substrate material during heat-activated steps, such as activating the getter material and bonding a lid wafer to the device wafer supporting the microdevice.

The invention discloses a method for recovering a solvent in a non-condensable gas containing solvent vapor and a device thereof. The method contains steps of using wash oil as an absorbent, absorbing, analyzing and condensing to obtain the solvent. The device contains a tail gas surge pot, a wash oil absorbing tower, a wash oil analytic tower and a condenser for the analytic tower, wherein the upper portion of the wash oil analytic tower is connected with a wash oil storage tank and the lower portion is connected with the tail gas surge pot; the bottom of the wash oil absorbing tower is connected with the upper portion of the wash oil analytic tower through a fat oil pump and a heater; the lower portion of the wash oil analytic tower communicates with the upper portion of the wash oil absorbing tower through a lean oil pump and a cooler; and the top of the wash oil analytic tower is connected with the condenser for the analytic tower. According to the invention, low-priced wash oil is used as the absorbent, has a good absorption effect of the solvent in the non-condensable gas and is convenient for analysis. The solvent in the non-condensable gas can be efficiently recovered by absorption and analysis. The invention has advantages of simple technological process, less equipment investment, low operation cost and energy saving and consumption reduction.
