The preparation method comprises the following steps of mechanically pulverizing natural calcium-enriched sepiolite ore into powder, drying the powder at constant temperature, and then directly heating and modifying the powder to obtain the calcium-based sepiolite phosphorus adsorbent. According to the preparation method provided by the invention, inertia calcium in the natural calcium-enriched sepiolite is activated through a heating and modification method, a part of active calcium enters into a sepiolite lattice system, and the alcium-based sepiolite adsorbent having high absorption capacity to phosphorus is generated by the original ore through recombination and reaction.
