The first surface modifiers comprise polyethylene glycol di-stearate and polypropylene oxide polyoxyethylene glycerin ether. The second surface modifiers comprise N-phenylmaleimide, abietic acid diethanol amide ether sodium carboxylate and octa-aminophenyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane. The method has the advantage that the weather-resistant type heavy calcium carbonate obtained by means of surface modification is excellent in dispersibility, hydrophilic and lipophilic performance, thixotropy, processing flowability, chemical stability, weather resistance and heat resistance and can be widely applied to the industries of building materials, coating, rubber, sealants, printing ink and the like.
