This invention relates to the field of methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) production technology, specifically to a method for preparing MEKP and its applications. The method includes the following steps: adding [BMIM]PF6 ionic liquid to a reaction vessel, followed by a composite catalyst, triethyl borate, and MEKP; cooling and then adding H2O2 dropwise, heating to 20-30°C, and adding a MnHCF dispersion; cooling the reaction solution to crystallize, and filtering to obtain preliminary MEKP crystals; recovering the ionic liquid by vacuum distillation of the filtrate; dehydrating the solution using a vacuum membrane; adding polyurethane acrylate and DPGDA, then coating the solution with a gelatin-gum arabic wall material, and spray drying to obtain MEKP. This invention effectively solves the core pain points in MEKP production and applications through triple innovation: MnHCF bimetallic catalysis, borate ester stabilization, and microcapsule safety design. It demonstrates significant advantages in catalytic efficiency, storage stability, safety performance, and practical applications.
